Dua Lipa and Callum Turner's whirlwind romance has taken fans for a ride.
And the next stop for the pair? Forever. After all, Dua finally confirmed what fans have been speculating over for months: she and the Masters of the Air star are indeed engaged.
“It’s very exciting,” Dua gushed to British Vogue in an interview published June 12, adding of her ring, “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
And while the “Levitating” singer didn’t give much thought to her own wedding while growing up—she confessed, “All of a sudden, I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”—the idea of forever suddenly has a much sweeter ring to it.
“This decision to grow old together,” she explained, “to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever—it’s a really special feeling.”
Fans have long been speculating Callum had gotten down on bended knee after Dua shared holiday season pics with a diamond ring on that finger. But while the Grammy winner rocked the ring in a mirror selfie and while cooking dinner for her family, her Dec. 27 caption excluded any mention of her new bling.
"Christmas was vvvv cute," the 29-year-old captioned the post. "the turkey was some of my best work."
Dua—who previously dated film director Romain Gavras, model Anwar Hadidand musician Paul Klein—only added fuel to the fire just days later when her year-end photo dump once again prominently featured what looked to be an engagement ring.
Alongside multiple photos holding a martini glass in her Ieft hand, plus sweet selfies and a video of a birthday cake, the Future Nostalgia artist simply wrote, “The last days of 2024.”
But while Dua played it cool, her fans couldn’t help but call out the elephant—or should we say diamond—in the room. “SO IS IT OFFICIAL OR WHAT PLS,” one user wrote, while another added, “THE RING WTF.”
Callum, 34, and Dua’s engagement comes just about a year and a half after they first sparked romance rumors in January 2024 following a PDA-filled dinner in Los Angeles. Since then, the private couple have enjoyed a number of outings together, including a trip to Tokyo with Dua’s sister Rina Lipa and her brother Gjin Lipa earlier this year.
